The crash does seem to be real. Giuffre's spokesman confirmed it to the Mail.

And her Dad says her family has been in contact with her

So it seems to me this has to do with her going through a divorce, not witness protection, not comms, etc.

These things jump out at me if we want to speculate it, what's going on here.

A. Recently estranged husband is seeking a divorce

B. She apparently can't see her kids

C. Kidney failure

D. Car accident.

What if we learned that this is the order. Something happened where her husband wanted to divorce her. He apparently has custody. Her kidneys are failing and she was just recently in a car accident.
