Maybe I haven't been around it enough. My Step Father was a Marine and he is anti-War large. Interesting story, when he signed up, he read all the small print. It said if you choose where you want to go, it's 4 years. If we decide, its 3 years. So he let them decide. His Aircraft Carrier took them to Vietnam they were about to go into combat and his 3 years ended and he was done. Two of his friends, didn't read the small print and they still had 1 more year and they were both killed in Vietnam.
