It's like the original "antisemite." You were a fool for using the calendar that makes so much more sense than the alternative that was adopted and still used today. Reverse psychology.
Some people missed it and kept celebrating the new year on 1st April.
These people didn’t miss anything. They saw what was happening and objected to it and kept their tradition. Those in power used the media to brand them as fools, and were so aggressive and effective in doing so that it’s a quasi-holiday 400 years later.
The Julian calendar, which Orthodox practice still follows, is thirteen days behind the Gregorian calendar, which most of the world uses. So, three months difference?? I think this post is not true, possibly through error, not the wish to confuse. But the two calendars are NOT three months apart.
The Persian Calendar is also closer to this day as the New Year.

Hey Siri play, chapelleGOTCHABEACH.webm
I have been thinking a great deal about this. Perhaps we should change our Calendar to correct this?

I can't find anything verifying this actually happened. Gregory did drop 10 days from October in 1582. Jumping from October 4 to October 15.
Oh shit that means Christmas was last week! Sorry I didn't get y'all anything!
