While there are many around here (Wisconsin) that don't want the government all up in their business - there are also MANY around here that will only vote when they MUST.

Trump/the Presidential race felt like a MUST. People were activated.

The SC race - to the local average person, especially after "Trump Won" - doesn't feel like a Must. (even though we all here know better.

Point being - lots of apathy around here. And if you think about the nature of being "Conservative" mostly equals "Stay out of my business" - that attitude definitely naturally gravitates in the direction of - "You stay out of my way - and I'm going to go mind my own business".

Of course, that's not reality - bad people will never stay out of your way - every generation must maintain what we've been given in this country - or it fails.

And that is the lesson we may have to learn in WI before personal responsibility is realized. Sometimes that's what has to happen.
