He was, yes, until a stroke retired him at 58.
I'm sorry you lost your father at such a young age. The mental and work stress of a modern Farmer is a heavy burden.
Thanks, but he only retired from farming at 58. We got to enjoy him for another quarter-century after that.
And you're right. Farming today is much more complicated than it ever was. Do you farm?
I grew up on a Farm and I'm close with some older Agricultural Engineers who have worked for Cargill and were shocked at how much power they hold over Farmers.
