A lot of black women have what's politely called "masculine energy." That is, they are big and square-jawed and don't look very feminine, and also tend to be somewhat loud and aggressive. That's not feminine, either, so it's harder to attract men; black women are usually at the bottom of the list when it comes to the attractiveness scale for men of any race.

Theory is they have more testosterone than the average female (all females have some, but black females tend to have more.)

So, they try to make up for it by greatly exaggerating the female characteristics they do have: huge butts, huge boobs, extremely heavy makeup, fake eyelashes, long fake glittery nails, and big long straight-hair wigs where the hair almost certainly came from women in India.

That's where that "look" comes from. It's from trying to bring out feminine traits but only making them look bloated, fake and devolved through so much exaggeration.

Sure, some men will sleep with them when no one's looking but aren't interested in marrying these creatures. So, the women end up with half a dozen babies by half a dozen different men and that makes them even less attractive to a man who might consider marrying them.

And in the end, what do women do when they have so much trouble attracting a decent man?

They eat. Food is one source of comfort that's always there, can be cheaply bought, and is legally and socially acceptable.
