Our schools and governments have farmed generations of pro communist & government useful idiots. They are lazy, won't work for whitey, and want to be spoon fed everything immediately ( entitlements ).
Weak and wanna be cool parents are also guilty for allowing lazy ADULTS to live at home well past 18+. So many illegals were doing jobs that these generations were supposed to be doing.
We are about to get flooded with a huge demand for labor when there is already a shortage in certain fields ( at least from what I see and hear ).
We want these companies to flourish in America, but without their lifeblood ( employees ) it seems it could become a real problem for some areas.
Some will say all of these recently retired fed parasites might help, but I don't see someone who was getting paid to do nothing their whole life suddenly working for a living.
What are your thoughts on how to fix this or how this plays out ?
100% this ^ . And as others commented - making sure hand ups are legit / limited while handouts are eliminated.
The problem now a days is that the young generation doesn't think that they should have to struggle. They want "livable" wages which in their minds is enough money to eat out everyday, buy a house they can't afford plus do all the extra shit that they want to do. They have no concept of sacrifice or doing without. They want all this but they want to take off days when their spouse has a doctors appointment, their kid has a sniffle and god forbid that you ask them to work over 40 hours a week.
I live in the construction world. The biggest struggle I have is employees. Finding people willing to work and show up. That and fucking smart phones. These clowns are glued to their phones. They don't realize the little short videos that they are watching are all staged. That and pot, you can throw a handful of rocks on any construction site and hit 5 potheads.
All u say is 100% Fact. Know from experience. They have no clue what climbing the ladder means and can't understand why an apprentice makes less than a journeyman.
My interviews always leave me shaking my head. What I grew up with as common sense has to be explained to them. It boggles my mind that they made it thru 20-30 years and didn't accidentally gain some common sense.
I tell every candidate no phones unless you have a prego wife or your truck is in the shop. This is why u have breaks and a lunch. They literally look at like I'm speaking martian. Others think all they have to do is show up. I'm like no, we actually have to do stuff ya know.
I could go on for days with stories. It's sad cuz I could employ another handful, but I just quit looking. It's just not worth it. We invest time and money in them and they never last and all we ask is the basics, some mentioned above.
Had to fire 1 dude because he was literally in the shitter twice a day for 30+ mins a pop each trip every single day ( hiding playing on his phone ). This on top of breaks and lunch. He was flabbergasted when confronted and went off on some hitler tirade.
This is part of why I started this thread. I'm in a commie state yeah, but all I basically see is lazy retards who are looking to do bare minimum to just get a check for party time. You're 30-40 and that is still your only priority ?
I grew outta party mode at like 20, even then I always showed up and sweated it out. No job, no party money right ? I digress, but the schools, gov, and parents wanting to be their kids bestie instead of a parent have destroyed the workforce around here.
