I had the unfortunate experience of being on a zoom call yesterday for business where one of the participants admitted that she was going to lead the Berkeley event. She was looking for protests in her area and there wasn't one so she clicked the button to host an event. And discovered that it was a very organized worldwide event with many many organizations involved. It made her feel good to be part of something so big. They got the word out and she already had over a thousand people who volunteered to be at her event The money issue did not come up, and I did not ask. None of this is organic. It's an organized effort to take down whoever the TV told them to hate this week.
Yes. I wanted to ask "exactly what are you protesting", but felt it would have caused too much cognitive dissidence if I chimed in with actual information, and didn't want to jeopardize my ability to use the product. The meetings aren't required, but helps me stay tuned in to the project direction.

These people are stupid. Truly. It's hard to keep quiet when confronted with such extreme stupidity in the workplace.
