I love it too. However, I do think we’ll need some evidence of the policies working prior to the midterms. Americans just aren’t tough enough to endure anything that disrupts their cushy lifestyle.

Tough enough for what? To go through this thing we love while also being happy? Probably not. But we wont die. And we will still be Americans. So we will suffer through this thing we love and eventually get stronger and maybe "tough", some day. Otherwise what are you suggesting?
