Meanwhile, average normies like me, paid this year with only one income. American husband being passed up for jobs for H1Bs. Tragic. Never would I thought I would be in this situation.
This is for real. It needs to be investigated because companies like Microsoft have been fraudulently using H1B to bring people in for normal jobs like manager, tech support, director, etc. in order to take control of the company. H1B is ONLY supposed to be for very high skilled roles that there are no American candidates to fill.
Well, that, in itself, is fraudulent. I have been in the tech sector for nearly 30 years. I have never had trouble finding qualified U.S. citizens for any roles in that time. Where H1B's have been hired in companies I have been with, it was not for more qualified candidates.
Exactly. We are both in tech sector. I'm thankful my PT salary is covering our bills. He said he works on contracts and says the same thing about H1Bs. He's on a team of them and arent the most qualified. It was eye opening to see that site that aggregated the H1B info to see which companies are using it. Glad to know others see this too.
Now do Blackrock & Vanguard.

It's sad. I hope you're able to find employment and you're able to provide for your family. 🙏
It's my husband who is unemployed. I'm thankful my PT work covers our bills.
Retroactively!
