I mean duh. They spent the last 30 years cornering the rare earth market.
Meanwhile in the US we were more concerned with some extinct fish in california or something.
So yes, of course they will do that, that's their leverage vs the US. I expect mining permits to be given for rare earth mining shortly.
And the EPA can go sit in the corner.
