I have a friend who takes covid vaccines and drives an electric vehicle. An atheist, too.
He's very smart, a good guy. Runs his own business with his wife. He used to be super overweight, but he slowly built up a great habit of exercise and good diet, and now is very fit. He's very good at rock climbing, we've spent many days rock climbing together. Very strong, can do lots of pull-ups.
Over the 3-4 years I've known him, we've discussed political/cultural topics very minimally and carefully, and always with the utmost respect for each other as human beings. Do i wish he stopped taking those vile jabs? Yes, obviously. But I value our friendship and I also value leading by example. With patience, timing, and respect, I hope one day I can inform him about those things. But I'm not resting our friendship nor my mental well-being on his personal beliefs. We will continue to get along either way.
