Just curious. if they dont got their shit together why should we even pay them? I've seen lots of frens file for extensions, or some are not even gonna bother with paying. Whatre your thoughts?

You are still required by US law to file taxes. Just because the organization tasked with collecting them is in chaos doesn't mean the law is gone.

That is a point of debate. I have a feeling it was never appropriately ratified and that is why many government programs require a tax return. I'm not saying don't file a return or pay taxes, but if you don't, you're out in the wilderness of anarchy and that's not all it's cracked up to be. I'll let each person do their own homework and make their own decisions. You may get away with not participating, but you also suffer the consequences of not participating. Be very careful with your decision
