Tariffs alone are not going make the US a producer of competitive goods!

What do we make? Brand name goods made elsewhere, Software (deliberately insecure for NSA), Boeing planes that now don't have a good reputation. The only good example I can think of is Tesla vehicles.
Tariffs bring manufacturing to the US. That's one of the main reasons for tariffs. We are the largest consumer market in the world and if other countries want a piece of the market they either pay a high price or build their shit here. As Knowles says, "Let Trump cook! Stop pretending you understand tariffs."
