I see that tunnel flooding very soon. And I also see a lot of issues for the Panamanian government because they obviously knew about it.
That may explain why the Panamanians seem very cooperative with the US. This whole situation is far from being finished. I am just glad some action is finally being taken about what is taking place there. I have been sounding the alarm about those ports for years along with other strategic infrastructure the CCP has been appropriating around the world.
Better hope it doesn't that fresh water is what makes the whole thing operate
Why is it important that it's fresh water?
The lake water is used to fill the locks each time a boat enters. Then released to lower level back down for next boat. (water drains to the sea )
And the Lake level depends on rain water
