Well, yeah. He actually knows a few facts (which too many here seem to not worry about that much).

It's a no brainer that where a CCP China company is involved they are going to do dodgy stuff that advances CCP operations, but the project itself isn't a CCP project, and the tunnel is only a part of the much larger project. (surveillance, spying, infiltration)

But the fact that he mentions the tunnel in a tiny sentence (and no more) indicates that it's of very small significance in the scale of things. Digging around this yields facts. I'm a bit disappointing that so many seem to have zero interest in facts, and lots of interest in just going wildly off on speculations.

But Kudos to all the actual digging frogs here, like u/Perspectives2025, like u/Pugsan, like u/Zappo, etc. Sadly, their input is right at the bottom of the comment section, due to receiving no upvotes.

Personally, I wonder why the original post inspires so much reaction and speculation, all of which gets upvoted, and so little digging for actual facts, which sadly gets very little upvotes.
