I went to the school district in my area, to a board meeting, and I simply asked if they would mandate cursive writing for all kids in all grades. The entire school board just about blew a gasket because I didn't have a scheduled appointment to speak at the board meeting. They didn't want to hear from a tax payer about an idea to educate the children in a more positive way. They simply said they teach cursive writing in the second grade and that was good enough.
