For starters, the non-citizens were able to vote in these elections and especially SDP was active in non-citizens spreading election material in multiple different languages including Arabic, Somali, Russian, etc and this was actually 2 separate elections in one and a total of about 120,000 votes were rejected which must be a record high. For example in northern Ostrobothnia in last municipal & welfare region elections there were only about 700 rejected votes while this year there were 7000.
