DJT needs to put a 1000% tariff on any pharmaceutical coming into our Country. They want cheap drugs because seniors use alot of them and the government pays a large portion of the tab. Why are US corps moving their factories to China since early 2000s?
There were many fortune 500 companies in my area in Jersey and since 20 years ago they have all closed down, moved to China and left my town desolate and filled with drugs and no future. So whose fault is this?
Why are public companies such traitors and cutting cost where there wasn't any need for it? Is it government regulations or tax purposes that motivate them to move overseas?? What is the root of the problem? I want to get to the bottom of it instead of pointing fingers at the wrong group of people.
It started in the 1990s after China became part of the WTO. Our businesses saw a huge Chinese market and wanted part of that. However China doesn’t allow foreign companies to take their profits outside of China, or something along those lines. Basically it’s why Trump is playing these tariff wars to help level the playing field. The root of the problem is globalists.

Our federal government is to blame. They are meant to protect us from enemies foreign and domestic, and they have failed us. Competitive countries can always be expected to take advantage if they are allowed to. It is up to us to replace a failed government, and we are hoping that this new administration will be loyal to the people for a change.

The perfidy of the Chinese is boundless. In Africa, China had been providing rice as a foodstuff. Cook it, it fluffs up and is edible. Then they ultimately discovered it was not rice...it was polymer. People were eating plastic. It was filling, but had no nourishment value. Imagine how much ingenuity, planning, and effort went into that scheme.
A Chinese-made building in Zambia crumbled because (it was found) the Chinese had been mixing used diapers into the concrete, because it gave a smoother finish than the raw concrete.
My stepdaughter went to China to procure retail goods for sale in Zambia and there she found a literal quality spectrum from crap to golden, depending on how much you wanted to spend.
It's so horrible over there I don't know how people survive. We have an Italian friend who started out as a boy genius repairing pin ball machines and later developed his own company which makes printers that go in everything from cash registers to gas pumps. He wanted to have them manufactured in Italy but there isn't the infrastructure there so consequently he had to use China.
He hates it there. They steal all of his technology to copy for their companies. He then started making cell phones and of course, they copied those as well. So sad because he loves the people, despises their lack of business ethics. He doesn't eat any but fruit when he has to travel there.
For reasons of a long story, my wife had to fly to China to help out. I recall her saying that you really had to know at least elementary Chinese to get along, and that there was a general low-level hostility (or indifferent arrogance and rudeness) toward outlanders.

Actually, yes. As it turned out, the medical personnel they resorted to were very skilled, kind, and helpful. So, China is a very mixed bag.

They are capable of some truly respectable feats. Their recent civil engineering projects (bridges, dams) are eye-openers. They are a close third in space behind us and the Russians. Their cities are anthills, but from the 22nd century. It may be one of God's ironies that the CCP is holding them back, despite their intent to press forward.
