Even better - the government provides private barracks in DC. Nothing special, something like a 2 or 3 bedroom condo. Then they can maintain their residence in their home state and have a simple place in close enough to walk to the capital. If they don't like it, they can live somewhere else on their own dime.
If they have to walk or bike a mile or two to the capital, I bet they'd find a way to take care of the homeless population.
Absolutely.. back to basic again. If they live as normal people, interact with people on the streets, they would understand their world better instead of being in a bubble surrounded by snobs and fake nobility socialites.
