It’s not particularly surprising. There’s an inordinate amount of regulations, policies, and laws that exist in many places for handling bodies. Explicitly because people get up to creepy shit with the Corpses. Or were selling parts outright to occultists.
I’m a bit surprised Harvard didn’t have any such regulations and policies in place at their level to make such activities more difficult.
Many Private Morgues and Funeral Homes have an inordinate amount of policy’s outside the legally required bare minimum to explicitly deter said behavior.
