They sure were! My brave grandmother and her four sisters sailing Tom America one by one, when they turned 18. Living in steerage, coming on the White Star Line ship “Celtic”, imagine the courage and dreams! This is one reason I fight for America’s constitution, they would be devastated and infuriated at what we have been facing.
