Anyone that's read the Bible knows that the biblical Israelites turned their back on God over and over and over for thousands of years. They worship themselves and false idols while falling into degeneracy, God corrects them, then they turn back to Him.. lather, rinse, repeat. God hasn't corrected them in a really long time. 109 isn't a fluke.
