April 19 is also around the time of Beltaine, which was held on the second full moon after the Spring Equinox - usually about May 1 (May Day) on the modern calendar.
Beltaine was a springtime ritual celebration among the Celtic (and maybe Viking) tribes and was basically an orgy. It still survives today under names like Carnivale, Fasching, and Spring Break (really.)
