Bukele should have locked them for a few weeks.
Or just take their passports = that way they can't travel, and they are forced to spend money in that country, while trying to get their passports back. LOL, first thing they'll do is go to the US embassy, and complain loudly. With any luck, the embassy staff will stall them a bit too.
Let them sip margeritas.
No need to imprison.
