Great good news. This means, at least, that Zelensky's intended quid pro quo of territorial holding has evaporated. Perhaps in short order the front will conform to the oblast borders of Donesk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye, and Kherson and all that will be left is the de-Nazification and neutralization of the remaining Ukraine. The longer Zelensky drags his feet on recognizing this, the more his bargaining position evaporates, like a damp spot under the midday sun.
If Zelensky gets frantic, Trump can say, "Give me a good reason to lift a finger. You had plenty of opportunity for a reasonable peace. Now you will be forced to capitulate and subordinate."
I just wish Trump would level with Americans (and the world) and say, "Look, folks, I hate to say this, but now we have unequivocal evidence that the U.S. State Department has provoked everything since the Maidan Revolution in 2014. This whole war was the brainchild of Victoria Nuland and her accomplices, including a secret war management operation conducted by General Milley. She has been responsible for provoking the deaths of millions of combatants and civilians. She damn near caused this to escalate into World War III. And Europe was right along with it, mainly the United Kingdom and France, but also others. I wasn't aware of this when i was the 45th President, but that is no longer the case. We will reach out and touch the responsible parties."
I think this (expanded) revelation should be a briefing conducted as a special address before both houses of Congress and broadcast on all media. Names should be named. Evidence of crimes against humanity (bio-warfare laboratories, Ukrainian human shield operations and civilian targeting) should be presented. True casualty figures should be presented. And the briefing content should be gathered into a comprehensive report and made available in file format or as physical document. Just present an overwhelming barrage of receipts. Announce apologies for the deaths of named U.S. personnel who were participating in the background operations. (This will potentially shock families who might have been told otherwise.) Provide evidence for the human trafficking, brothels for women and children, and child abattoirs. Show photos. Leave the entire nation in stunned silence. And start arresting those implicated (maybe as they leave the Capitol building).
I am not much a fan of elaborate fantasies, so this is not my usual style. But, somehow, it has to happen. And this is my conviction of how extreme it should be, since the only thing we have in our favor is the truth, and therefore the truth should be made into a barrage to pulverize a mountain. Don't tell me the people can't "handle" it. I live in a state where Mount St. Helens erupted in a gigantic explosion that affected the region with volcanic ash and landscape alterations. We got through it, and people on the other side of the country were not bothered. Don't tell me that these revelations are somehow more traumatic than a 24-megaton volcanic explosion. Or hurricane damage and losses. Or forest fires. Or deaths in the family. I am disgusted with the degree to which there is an idea that normal people cannot "handle the truth." We handle it ALL THE TIME.
Sorry. End of Rant. I approve of Trump's guidance by boxing insight. But there is such a thing as a killing blow, and we need it sorely.
There must be a really good reason why they're keeping it under wraps. I know that ongoing prosecutions are part of the reason. Maybe the other part is that rumours of ETs in control are true?
I would like to think so. The current scenario seems like a combination of damage control and optics. Maybe it is related to Trump's ambition to secure a controlling interest in Ukrainian resources for the sake of cost recovery, but he is trying to seek two conflicting objectives (death avoidance and financial gain) while Zelensky wants neither of them to occur. Nor does Russia have much interest in those objectives, for which I can hardly blame them.
The problem with carrying multiple objectives in combat is that it will always come down to which one is paramount, and the necessity of ending on that point. People misunderstand the choice to use atomic bombs to end the War with Japan. It indeed worked out to result in fewer deaths all around---but that was not the objective. The objective was to have the fewest American deaths. It was as simple as that. And needs no defense.
I have misgivings. The problem is that a large part of this was going on under Trump's nose in his previous term. Who wants to drag something like this out and say, "Oops, my bad"? I see also that he is giving at least lip service (if not credence) to the Ukrainian & State Department propaganda lies and misrepresentations about casualties and targeting. I have the impression he is trying to finesse this fiasco so as to evade all these terrible disclosures. It is like the captain's dilemma on the Titanic: which way to steer? Post-mortem analysis of that event arrived at the conclusion that the right answer may have been to steer directly into the berg. (It would have smashed the heck out of the bow, but it would not have split a crack along the entire length of the ship's side, resulting in the fatal flooding.) In effect, that is what I am advocating: steer directly into the berg and just suffer the impact.
ETs? European Tit-twisters? Egyptian Toilets? 'Eumongous Turtles? I crave to know.

Yes, I think we can handle the truth. What else have we got?
