I have a small amount of uninterruptable power in my house and my neighbors on either side have pretty large solar installations. I'm sure either would let me run an extension cord for my refrigerator.
But does their solar installation also have battery backup? I had someone come and try to sell me on solar a couple years ago, and if the power went out I'd still be without power unless I paid extra for batteries.
Airports don't have uninterruptable power?

Yes, they do. I can't imagine a solar installation without batteries!
