The old florescent tubes were my personal favorite...quartz halogen are pretty good...Pretty long lasting. Little know fact: The original carbon filament incandescent light bulb invented by Thomas Edison still works. It never burned out because it was made with a proper vacuum inside the bulb (unlike all commercial bulbs made after it). It's one of the classic scams in history that no one really talks about.
