My mother had an eye-injury (a monkey sitting on her head slipped and grabbed her eye-lid on the way down - LOL not-LOL).
She was advised to not wear sunglasses by the very accomplished Japanese eyesurgeon who happened to be visiting that hospital - and he saved her eyesight.
She did take off her very expensive 'polarized' glasses, and it changed her life.
Wow! Bless her heart...sounds excruciating! I believe you are correct about the Japanese eye surgeon. What a Godwink that he treated her!! So grateful your Mother recovered and thrived! 🙏
yeah she was, she died ten years or so ago, but thanks.
Monkeys, unless trained from birth, and treated like a human toddler, i.e. wash hands regularly, eat with spoon, wear nappies, etc., - have dirty long fingernails that dig through poo, just to recycle corn nibbles. They like swimming to keep clean, but are not overly-meticulous about hand cleanliness.
By all means let them play with your hair for friendlies, (and take a shower after) but don't let them sit on your head. Also, tied-up monkeys can be very mean. From experience as a child ( I was bitten between the shoulderblades - very painful and infected).
