Some years ago, there was a short-lived TV series about people starting a colony on an alien planet. It was not particularly memorable, but ever single scene involving a shot of the hills of the planet had a hawk screech in the background. (As though hawks were indigenous to the planet.) It became so unmotivated and intrusive that it was obnoxious.
I don't recall that one, but my subconscious must be filtering the dreadful tropes
I amuse myself in action movies by taking pains to notice if the key characters are practicing proper trigger discipline (finger outside the guard until the decision to shoot) and muzzle etiquette (don't point the muzzle at anyone you don't want to shoot). Disturbing how many action heroes would have blown their buddy's head off on a bad day. (Alec Baldwin moment.)
Yes. Thank you. The only part of that which I thought was memorable was the idea of "locking" up sections of the surface from material access by means of an imposed energy field or charge. It got them in trouble with the indigenous beings by locking up their hidden ancestors underground.

Wow. Impressive, but it would blunt my pencil to do that.
It's funny as shit ----- when you realize that tires don't make screeching sounds on dirt roads ---- eagles don't make that majestic screech.
