Received our 2025 property tax assessment (Central Indiana). It increased by 30%. Numerous local groups are lit up with pissed off homeowners. Is this the start of "You will own nothing and be happy" ?

A 30% increase for many homeowners, on top of a previous 20-30% increase = unable to afford the house you live in.

I am in Indiana also.

It is the fault of us when they addressed the movement several years back to remove property taxes. We let them make it 1% with exceptions.

We let them, it us our fault. We allowed the snake in the house and got bit.

We need to start again and now remove them completely.
