Never heard of her before now and have listened to several of her programs. She reads a lot of Chinese news and distils it rather expertly to be honest. But I don't think she is too far off. She seems anti communist, but doesn't appear to water any thing down or embellish. It's worth abl listen if China interest you and you have and discerning ear. The logic behind her population question is pretty good. Be hard to know but if it is lower it hides another significant fact, China will have less people to support and will be able tonfurther stretch her reserves to stretch out the tarriff war.
