The drug kills the parasite. The parasite dumps its crap into the blood stream. Too much shit in the blood causes septic shock .
I heard this about cats,i was told by a farmer that cats can get enough ivermectin from poop given to the larger animals on the farm that to much for cats will clog the heart with dead parasites .
