Can someone roll back history?? I would love to see a reasonably short discussion of what Africa (South Africa especially) would look like now!, with no European settlement or influence.
Consider the Arab slave traders, with no European slave trade.
Consider the Boers, and no Brit Boer Wars. *** Would SA have been better with the Boers than the Brits? Why did the Brits wage war against other Europeans for SA?? Then picture no Boers either.
Consider no exploration, no mines, no manufacturing, no jobs to lure other Africans to SA, no conventional agriculture.
Would the original blacks who resided in South Africa be better or worse off? and why? Would they want to go back to those conditions? why or why not?
Who invented necklacing [burning tires around someone's neck] and why?
What is the philosophy, the culture, the tradition that leads African black nation states into failure? Global communist influences?? Merely corruption of the black Africans in power? What is the influence that they subject their own people to poverty and starvation?
Rhodesia, Haiti are also exemplars.
I am asking seriously. The state of the African states is abysmal, despite billions of dollars of investment to make the people's lives better.
Part of the "colonization" was the "white man's burden." Many Europeans suffered and died to bring progress to Africa. Not all for gain, much for charity.
