It is all fake and they are cornered and pissed(when aren't they...) and will be doing it to create fear/panic that they are hoping to take advantage of.

Yea, AI is a tool, it is useful for many things but it is still a tool and just like any other tool it's use has limitations(the uses/limitations are just different than all previous tools humans are familiar with/accustomed to)
Not so much A.I(nteligence) as it is a information collation and simulation tool with a conversational interface...(in the history of man, since the firs cave-man picked up a rock there hasn't been a single tool that haven't been misused, 'AI' is no different, it's always the user, never the tool)
