What happened in central Alabama today? Yesterday I drove my car, and it was clean, woke up this morning looking like I had travelled on all the back, dusty roads around, and like it had misted on the car to turn it into mud. Dust storm? Muddy rain last night? Light rain followed by a dust storm? Drove 30 minutes away and there were several cars parked around me that looked the same. Drove another 15 minutes, same thing. Went to a car wash, and the lady said people had been coming in all day with the same "dust" on their cars, and hers was like that when she went outside about 8am. A friend who lives 5 miles away had the same dust on her car. Did some storm kick up dust that's falling in this area? This was so strange.

I had the same problem here in Arizona yesterday. I just got back from Hawaii and I was gone for a month so I took my car to get it washed, I literally have a place to park my car that’s covered. The entire car is covered in dust now. Make it make sense. Oh, this is after our entire valley was covered in some kind of a thick haze and we couldn’t even see the superstition mountains. This is not normal.
Strange phenomenon indeed. It's happened at my house three times this Spring.
Local fake news says it's dust being lifted into the atmosphere then carried in clouds resulting in a dirty precipitation. Idk if I buy that... never seen it before in all my years here, there, and abroad.
I've never seen this happen either. Especially in such a widespread area. I could understand if we had farms or dirt roads around here, but we don't in the areas I've been in today. In fact, we've had rain the past week or so, and the yards are so saturated for 50 miles around me, they can't even cut grass.
I've seen that many times here in Oklahoma.
It is planting season, when the fields are plowed up......
Drove across CA last weekend. The plows are kicking up dust like crazy.
This exact thing happened to me and many others in Arkansas about a month ago. I never wash my car because I live on a dirt road, but decided to after the pollen was finished. Washed it and the next morning.....
same in north alabama
