I have seen example after example of self-promoting posts exploiting the good folks fighting for the Great Awakening, for personal spiritual gain and them being STICKIED by mods.
Personally, it fatigues me - especially knowing the prayers need to be with the kids and the overall movement the most but more than anything, the ppl posting them have contributed fuck all to any discussion to do with Q and suffer main-character syndrome.
I point to the boards creation and existence, indeed the very paragraph in the sidebar:
We are researchers who deal in open-source information, reasoned argument, and dank memes. We do battle in the sphere of ideas and ideas only. We neither need nor condone the use of force in our work here. WE ARE THE PUBLIC FACE OF Q. OUR MISSION IS TO RED-PILL NORMIES.
This is a pro-Q community. Please read and respect our rules below before contributing.
I also point to the rule:
No PAYtriots/No Self Promotion: Linking or promoting merchandise, fundraising, or spamming personal websites, blogs, or channels is not permitted. Do not attempt to profit from Q or advertise for those who do. Peace is the prize. We do it for free.
I argue these posters are profiting from Q. I suggest including "No PRAYtriot posts" to that rule too. Upvote if you agree, otherwise share your thoughts.
- Edit: at the very least, mods do NOT sticky these posts.
They aren't the most exciting posts to read, for sure. But I think the idea of these posters "profiting" of them is asinine, as is the idea that prayers should only be reserved for certain ideas. Most of these posts seem to be some variety of "My mother is sick", "my sister is struggling with mental health", or "I am about to lose everything". If the board were being flooded with these posts, I would agree with you. But I only see a few a week. Honestly, I wouldn't feel great being part of a community that outright bans posts like that. I mean, isn't reddit cruel enough?
The best part is seeing the replies of how their family members have benefited from our prayers. It’s very rarely I see a negative report behind the scenes after we’ve collectively prayed for a person. The price reports are the best.
