If the idea is to poke at them in order to make a point (without actually being unfriended), then you're right. In that case leaving in a small grammar mistake would be an unwanted distraction, and counter-productive.
I commented on the meme that the poster presents assuming an exactly literal interpretation: that it is designed as a deliberate provocation to get lefties to unfriend you. For that purpose a grammar mistake is like an accelerant on fire. Their university bred superiority complex tends to make them trigger happy in that way, being trained to constantly search out "micro-triggers". It is baked into their personality. I was taking my own stab at that.
Anyway, having to explain sarcasm means I must have dropped a clunker.
And, I might as well admit: I can't count the number of times I thought I wrote a proper sentence when only after pressing Save do I spot the missing preposition, or what have you.
