I do suspect that the Republican application of this largely ended in Trump’s first term sometime around one speech Trump gave to the remaining Republican congressmen. I could swear he was talking about strings being cut in that speech. It was definitely in play for many of them before then. As far as being compromised, not pedos. Those people all resigned, or otherwise.

Even with the Democrats, most likely the strings were handed off.

Everything since then would be disclosure and a “movie”, not only to get the people to understand, but to give us a chance to learn what to do once the strings are cut. That doesn’t happen if the problem goes away just because it’s resolved.
