"Ortiz, 32, who earns $13 an hour in her job at a meatpacking plant in Pennsylvania, has lived in the United States for a decade, after fleeing El Salvador to escape a violent ex-partner and gang threats, she said in an interview and in immigration paperwork. "
A very good friend of mine did the asylum interviews for ICE. He said before they even came in for their interview he could write up his report on what she was going to say. She parrots the exact same story every single woman said when coming here and claiming asylum!
First: Claim abuse at the hands of a husband, boyfriend, etc.
Second: Claim gang threats even though she could not provide anything that indicated she specifically was threatened or that she had any connection, however remote, to a gang, other that living in a country that has "gangs."
