They’d have oil rigs bringing in a good, fixed income, the socialists would decide they wanted a bigger piece of the pie, and seize the rigs, then as the rigs stopped working, they’d realize they didn’t have the capital or knowledge or personnel to run them, and have the Chinese come in and run them for less than the original amount, and let their own people be treated like dirt by the operators, because what are the alternatives now?
