I hadn't come across this before so I was thinking that other anons might not have either.
I knew about this but not by this name. I knew it's an electrical field surrounding the body. I did not have a name for it.
I think the term "zeta potential" in it's technical meaning may not cover electric fields surrounding the body. It is limited to potentials in the slip planes in fluids.
There's probably another term which covers the fields surrounding the body.
Affects colloidal stability, modified flow may be a side effect depending on the other components of the suspension/gel.
