Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Rules For the rest of the Site also accessible on the sidebar.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
This is truly amazing.
A deacon friend of mine from the Baptist Church sends me every so often a YouTube of Reverend Terry Anderson of Lily Grove Church in Houston.
He sent one today and I watched it this morning with my breakfast and the sermon was on Psalm 23.
I guess I'm supposed to pay attention.
Thank you for all your posts.
Wow! That's a Godwink GG! ✨
Yes.
Thank you. After I read this, I was moved to look up some theological analyses of The Lord’s Prayer.
I prayed it quite a few times while parsing the prayer for meaning.
All for the greater honor and glory of God.
And it being Sunday and all, I’m grilling up some “daily bread”; a bit of flesh for the family and fowl for me
Thank you fren! That is my favorite prayer because it's the most meaningful to me since it's how Jesus taught us to pray...🙏
Interesting that both Matthew and Luke both recorded Jesus’ words.
God’s answer to evolutionists - Job 38. https://www.bible.com/bible/111/JOB.38.NIV and 39 https://www.bible.com/bible/111/JOB.39.NIV
Here is what I consider proof that God created life. Scientists and philosophers agree that information is always created by a mind, never by random processes. DNA is coded information that tells cells how to operate and reproduce. The only mind that could have been here before life is God, whatever name you want to use. So God wrote that code in DNA.
As far as evolution, Darwin himself said that if any irreducibly complex structure that couldn't have evolved was ever found, then his theory would collapse. At least one such structure is a tiny motor and propeller that moves around a single cell organism. Any part of that would be a hindrance. A cell would die before reproducing that change long enough for another part to "evolve."
In addition, there seems to be circular reasoning about how old rock layers are and how old fossils found in them are.
BTW, please use the KJV, as it is more accurate when compared to the old manuscripts. The NIV leaves out entire verses and changes constantly, more so online. Also, the KJV is what us older people memorized, so phrasing things differently just sounds wrong. My today's Sunday school lesson concerns Noah. My lesson book uses the CSB (Christian Standard Bible). It says that Noah found "favor." Then the lesson goes on to talk about how "favor" really means "grace." "Grace" is what the KJV already said. We all know the song based on that verse, "Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord."
This isn't supposed to be any kind of rant, but just a transfer of knowledge from someone who has studied the Bible and other works for almost 60 years, since joining the church in 1966.
I agree wholeheartedly about the KJV.
I’m a filthy papist, myself, but I refer to the KJV as most authoritative.
I wouldn't call you "filthy," as there are probably things you just don't know about.
Nah, I’m way more aware of what is/has/was been going on in the Vatican than the average bear.
Did anyone notice how generous the speaker of the house was yesterday, to let a staffer propose on the balcony, with photo op obviously?
I recently got an X account. Does anybody have a link to the Great Awakening account on X? I did a search, but there are very many and I don’t want to join a bunch of accounts.
Here's the link for one of the GAW mods on X:
Check out AwareWulf_GAW on X. https://x.com/Aware_Wulf17
Or just look for the symbol for groups at the far right bottom of the page on X, the click on it.
Do you have the same account name on X? I will follow you.
Good luck and have fun!
Thanks for the info. It is nice being able to read the comments in the X posts now. 😂
I was shocked I was able to have the same username. But it’s quite fitting because I guess this is how it starts. 🤪

Yay! You're welcome fren! Lots of great researcher anons on X...
Is there any information on a live stream for the Flag Day anniversary celebration and parade?
RIP Hudson's Bay Company.
Who has information on Aleister Crowley?
That's a deep hole...pure evil, motto "do what thou wilt", Barbara Bush's father...👿
He called himself the most evil man who ever lived. Robert Plant was staying in Aleister Crowley's former house when he wrote "Stairway to Heaven." He said the whole thing came to him. That's why, ever since the 1970s, religious groups have found all the evil "backward masking" statements contained in the recording. I first heard the tapes on TV in the late 70s. I have a recording I made of that show.
You can start with the little bit on Wikipedia, and then read more and more. I think he still influences some weak minds today.
Thank you I do know he was a big satanist
