This is a "don't throw the baby out with the bathwater" situation. I am heavily, heavily, anti-Bitcoin, but it does not mean that all cryptos are compromised or bad.
The tech itself isnt inherently evil; say, for example it was linked to a physical comodity that can be audited, gold for example, this would be the beautiful marriage of the efficiency of digital currency, plus the physical parameters that prevent the federal government from overspending.
However, bitcoin itself has a very murky past, and under the current circumstances, I don't really have much faith or trust in it, and I am still over the opinion that it is the carrot by which they will make the masses adopt digital currency.
This is as clear as day when you look at the suppression of golden silver but bitcoin (which has no inherent value except it consumes lots of energy) is allowed to explode.
