They will sit on it till the next area burns down and the corporate entity buys that area up, builds it up and rent it out at a low price. Keep doing that till you own a good portion, have the politicians in your pocket make property taxes in the places you dont own to high so people move out,that corporate entity ends up. Then raise the rent.
How does this land grab idea work?
You have to buy the land.
Clear it.
Build a house.
And hope that the rest of the neighborhood is also rebuilt. Otherwise you're surrounded by rubble.
Otherwise you're not going to get to these super high prices there were before.
