In Kayfabe fights, the actions are planned and coordinated so that no lasting damage will be inflicted. People will get bounced around and picked up and tossed, but there will be no broken bones nor permanent injuries.
This right here, pointed out by Catturd with regards to the Epstein allegations, is in fact more permanent damage, the kind that it will be costly to remedy and crosses the line between acting and real fighting.

That's the major "fly in the ointment" in all of this kayfabe talk.
Sure it is good publicity to get the public demanding the files (or the next set). But this "fake feud" is causing a ton of collateral damage. For one, many MAGA-men are not going to trust Elon Musk anymore after this, and this is after the wounds from the H1-B meltdown back last winter has just healed over. And it also just gave DEMS-13 a TON of ammo just as we are about to crush them.
"Bu...But many people will read the Epstein files more then after this feud, and it will to prove Trump's not a pedo!"
You all really think people are going to crack open and read the files like a novel and see for themselves? People are still not picking up the Bible and reading that, even with a massive push by us Christians. And no one is joining book clubs, much less the adults of this nation.
Reading and critical thinking skills is on the decline in America, unfortunately. More than likely, what's gonna happen is that people will tune in to their favorite news programs or influencer or podcast and get their information there, which will more than likely reinforce their biases.
So DEMS-13 will still be convinced Trump's a pedo,
The Patriots will say Trump's not a pedo,
And we will still not go anywhere meaningful.
In fact, we might have gone backward since we wasted a ton of resources, political capitol, and sanity points on this very pointless exercise. Which is worse than doing nothing.
In conclusion, if this is all one big kayfabe act, then it is rather poorly executed that leaves many wondering if it could be better done or handled. My opinion? It is 50:50 right now. Maybe it is all an act, maybe it is not an act and Elon's doing an ill-advised freak out like what happened back 6-7 months ago. We shall see what today will bring.
But it better not bring anymore headache and distraction. We have enough of that already.
People say this Kayfabe, but there is a growing probably that this fallout is genuine and Elon Musk went crazy for a bit, which have unfortunate lasting damage on his relationships.
Elon says that he as Asperger’s Syndrome, which is a type of autism that bless him with great intelligence, but curses him with poor social intelligence, inability to form and maintain relationships, and quickness to anger. From what we have seen from previous outbursts, he also have a bit of an ego problem. These two mixed together and we have a problem.
People say that Elon Musk signaling that he wants to talk things out is him signaling that this is all an act, but I would argue is that Elon possibly knew that he went too far, especially with the lies-by-omission with regards to Trump and Epstein, and calling for Trump's impeachment.
I understand Trump's feelings and his desire to not want to speak to Elon Musk; if I went out of my way to be very generous with my hospitality and kindness to Elon Musk, and this is how he repays my generosity, especially with the lies about Epstein? I would be hurt and miffed about this too.
Time will heal many wounds, and I doubt time can't heal this wound, but Elon Musk needs to extend sincerity and guarantee that this outrageous episode will not happen again, because I recall that this is not the first time he acted out like this (or the second time, if you count the time he told Bob Iger to go fuck himself in public one of such times, I understand Elon's frustration at the time, but there is probably a better way to handle that).
I wish Elon the best of luck in his endeavors, but if he expects me to choose him over Trump, he will be mistaken.

Thoughts on all of this? I know the usual "Trust the Plan" responses, but I got the sinking feeling that this is not part of the plan.
