When I was diagnosed with cancer, it was just another bump in the road. And when my only son got off the sauce, married the right woman and then got baptized....well, the joy was sky high.
It sounds like your journey has just begun. And any time under 20 years is just begun. It took me that long to clean out her room. Every step into life is a step toward healing and acceptance, so hang in there. Talk about him and in the midst of pain, make the good times, the funny times shine brightly.

Just keep on keeping on. Wish I could tell you it goes away. It doesn't. The pain is growing season and it's what your son wants for you, to live, to grow. You're still married and a lot of marriages don't survive this. You are doing amazingly well. When we have completed whatever mission we've been assigned, we'll see them again.

I’ve found that it is helping with my memory. I’m not walking to the back of the house and forgetting why I was heading there in the first place! I’m not pausing to remember a word during a conversation as much, either. You will pee blue. My husband pees more blue than I do. Sorry to be graphic here but I don’t want you freaking out when it happens. Fun fact-methylene blue is in Uribel in conjunction with four other substances. It’s used in the treatment of the urinary tract and the doc will tell you about the blue/ green pee😁.
