US President Donald Trump is set to have lunch with Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, in Washington D.C.
The meeting is expected amid rumours suggesting that the US might use Pakistani soil to launch an attack on Iran from a second front.
Here are some facts about Asim Munir: 👇
▪️Munir was recently promoted to Field Marshal, becoming only the second person in Pakistan's history to receive the honour, despite military setbacks against India.
▪️His promotion followed India’s Operation Sindoor, during which Pakistan failed to protect the terrorists it had sheltered.
▪️He has openly advocated for a strategy to "bleed India by a thousand cuts."
