Christian used to know who killed Jesus.
Now not so much.
You can blame the Scofield reference Bible about 200 years ago which spread the virtually unheard of endtimes position of darbyism or premillennial dispensationalism.
This Bible was the first study Bible and it had footnotes explaining passages and concepts and this kooky fringe eschatological position that puts Israel Central to Future fulfillment of prophecy was injected into these footnotes.
Unfortunately this Bible was widely adopted by pastors and seminaries and this view of the end times and framing of Israel to be somehow Central to Christianity became the prominent belief.
So basically this Bible and the people that published it interjected a huge lie into the Christian church that is still prevalent today.
You know which industry had a disproportionate amount of Jews in it around the early 1900s? Book publishers and distributors.
Israel doesn't matter anymore in scripture. Jerusalem & the Temple was destroyed in 70AD by Rome's armies, on time and as promised by Jesus & Daniel & Revelation. All that crazy destruction language was about that event. That's a wrap on those prophecies. The 3rd temple doesn't matter. The red heifer doesn't matter. That's all BS interpretations that Christians didn't believe for 1800 years. It's done.
God wins.... down here. Jesus is reigning right now as His Word goes forth and grows. There will be NO END to His kingdom.
