Cause if you are intellectually honest secularism is impossible to defend. There is overwhelming statistical and historical evidence that Religious societies are far better off. If human’s don’t worship God they will turn to hedonism and degeneracy.
And look at modern liberals. Atheist, secular, heretical Christians at best. And they are all miserable with no higher purpose in life. Most of them degenerates who replaced God with Marvel, Harry Potter and Pokémon. Not having families filled with hate and regret.
I get where he is coming from though. I lived a hedonistic life until my mid to late 20’s after I walked away from God. If my current self said this to my younger self 10 years ago I would have thought future me is off my rocker and crazy. But I have now put on the armor of God reading, listening, praying, learning, trying to work past my sins. Thank God I have come back to him.
Similar situation as you. Even as a child, I was never a believer. I questioned everything. Until I found Q in early 2018. The drops made me question even more my unbelief. I actually researched and have come to the understanding that there IS a Creator and that Jesus is God in the flesh who died for our disobedience to Him, was resurrected and ascended to Heaven and will come again.
